Many of our customers are cautious people who like to hope for the best but prepare for the worst. We couldn’t agree more. I think it makes good sense to have a "Plan B" in case bad things happen. It doesn’t take a lot of imagination to realize that the economic threats posed by terrorism, climate change, political turmoil and economic upheaval are real. The prudent decision is to create a "Plan B" and prep accordingly.
What Happens when the Stock Market Crashes?
We all saw what happened during the Great Recession back in 2008, and of course, we all know about the Great Depression. When your entire retirement savings are tied up in one class of assets, such as in stocks, the retirement picture begins to look pretty bleak when the stock market takes a severe downturn. Yet, despite these historical crashes, many Americans continue to invest substantially all of their retirement assets in stocks, which I will refer to as your "Plan A." What happens when the stock market crashes and "Plan A" fails? Prudent investors have a "Plan B." It is more commonly known as asset diversification, or, as you often hear, not putting "all of your eggs in one basket" (such as by putting all of your retirement money in the stock market). If one asset class loses value, the smart investor has some of his or her money in other asset classes, some of which may traditionally thrive when the stock market or the U.S. Dollar takes a dive. One such asset is gold and silver coins, and some of these can be held within an IRA. We believe that investing some of your retirement assets in precious metals is an excellent "Plan B."
At Augusta Precious Metals, we want to help you prepare for the future. We sell gold and silver bullion coins at the lowest available prices. You can divide your purchases between what you need in the short term and gold you put away in an Augusta Precious Metals IRA. Don’t wait until it’s too late – contact us today.
